Freestyle Dancing, or Dog Dancing, is a dog sport that combines music with basic obedience skills such as heel, and tricks like spins and leg weaves. New and inventive moves are being developed all the time, but much can be done with a few basic obedience moves. It can be performed as a single dog/handler team or as group routines. It is performed in competition, demos, and combined with therapy visits. With different kinds of music to inspire different style dances, the creative possibilities are endless.
Most of all, Freestyle Dancing is meant to remain fun and rewarding, strengthening the natural bond between dog and handler.
